  2. Newsletters: what Insiders get, and a daily Viral fact

Each newsletter section now ends with one line on what Insider members get there. The free Daily Receipts also carries a Viral fact of the day: the card we posted that day, with its sources.

  3. A calmer top of the homepage, and Sign in from 1 Nov

The buttons up top are quieter, and a short 'Be early' strip says what early members get. From Sun 1 Nov a Sign in button appears top right, and that strip steps aside at the same moment.

  4. Daylight top strip easier to read, plus small fixes

In daylight mode the top strip is now amber with dark text, much easier to read. Old addresses such as /cookies now open the right page, and the cookie bar no longer covers the footer links.
