Anthropic IPO Investors Weigh About $1.5 Trillion, Down From the Roughly $2 Trillion Expected, After a $16.8 Billion Quarter (+45% QoQ)

On Oct 15, 2026, Reuters reported, citing people familiar, that some current and prospective investors who attended Anthropic's investor day discussed an IPO valuation of about $1.5 trillion, down from the roughly $2 trillion previously expected for the November share sale. It is not a set price. Anthropic told them Q3 revenue rose 45% to $16.8 billion from Q2 and that it was profitable on an adjusted basis; some were disappointed growth slowed after Q2 revenue more than doubled to $11.6 billion. Yahoo Finance covered the report on Oct 16. Anthropic did not immediately comment.
