Reported: About $5 Billion of Nvidia GB300 Server Racks Amazon Can't Fully Power Yet

Business Insider (Eugene Kim, 20 Oct 2026), citing internal August emails and people familiar, reported that AWS expected about $5 billion of Nvidia GB300 server racks under a new Early Rack Receipt process, then roughly $3 billion a month. Some sites have floor space but not enough electricity, so finished racks sit in warehouses and staging, which the report calls dark GPUs. Amazon says staging near the sites is best business practice.
