SpaceX now reports how much AI hardware it has switched on, measured as installed GPUs times their power draw. As it builds out its Colossus II data centre, that figure rose from 0.6 GW a year earlier and 1.4 GW in June to 1.7 GW of nameplate AI compute at SpaceX
SpaceX reported its nameplate compute, a measure of installed AI hardware, as part of its Q3 2026 results. This figure reached 1.7 GW as of September 30, 2026, up from 1.4 GW on June 30, 2026, and 0.6 GW on September 30, 2025. The company noted this expansion was due to the continued buildout of COLOSSUS II.
