DRAM Revenue Hit Nearly $200B, Up 369% in One Quarter
Global DRAM revenue reached nearly $200 billion in Q3 2026, up 369% year over year (close to 5x), according to Counterpoint Research's Q3 2026 Global Memory Tracker, published 5 November 2026 and reported by Electronics Weekly and Seoul Economic Daily. Counterpoint called it "a pricing super-cycle, not yet a volume cycle": bit shipments rose only about 4% in the quarter, and the tracker does not say whether that 4% is year over year or quarter on quarter, while DRAM average selling prices reached $1.9 per gigabit. Samsung held 38%, the share on Counterpoint's page. Electronics Weekly and Seoul Economic Daily, both citing the same Counterpoint tracker, put SK hynix at 29% (Seoul Economic Daily: up from 25%), Micron at 21% (down from 24%) and CXMT at 9% (Counterpoint: down from 10% in Q2). Those four shares sum to 97%; the rest is other suppliers. Conventional DDR and LPDDR revenue grew about 500% and nearly 400% year over year, so HBM's share of DRAM revenue fell even though HBM revenue almost doubled. All of these figures are Counterpoint estimates, not totals the companies reported.
